Abstract

Since prehistoric times, man has been captivated by gold. Its chemical symbol, Au, comes from its Latin name aurum, which means “bright dawn”, since it reflects light efficiently, acquiring a “golden” color shine. Probably because of its color, shine, softness and ductility, it was that they began to use it to adorn themselves since personal adornments have been found (rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, pectorals, etc.) in the archaeological discoveries of almost all ancient civilizations. .
