Abstract

Like Prof. Dr Stefan Matile (2019) and Prof. Dr. Tien Yau Luh (2019), I decided to comment a little about sulfur, an element mentioned in the Bible and by ancient civilizations. Although it is not very detailed in history who first described it, it is known that the Egyptians used it to purify the temples. Homer in the 9th century BC. he advised avoiding its pestilence and in the 12th century it was used by the Chinese as an explosive mixture of potassium nitrate, carbon and sulfur.
